Seasoned artists and teachers will tell you that their biggest breakthrough came when they began applying color and design concepts into their paintings. Early in our painting life we all struggle to copy nature as we see it. Painting becomes a lot of work with little reward, what’s missing is an understanding of color and design. These concepts are logical, learnable and once you have them, they’ll be evident in every painting you paint. You’re encouraged to bring along sketches or photos of your favorite subject matter, flowers, figures, boats, city streets or country scenes, etc… Each day Don will show you how to boil down any subject to a simple, exciting watercolor statement; no stress, no fear, lots of demos, laughs and personal guidance.
