Your sensibilities will take you on a whirlwind adventure as you discover a variety of materials, textures and surfaces in the combining of mediums. The process of layering with non-traditional art materials, and unusual papers, along with acrylic paints and inks will move you into a whole new way of developing an abstract painting. The white papers and textured materials are the building tools of the painting surface. These tools used in layering, painting, and embedding; create a dynamic sculptural effect on an assortment of painting supports. Each day a new project will be implemented applying different design compositions and techniques giving unique expressiveness to your work. Jan's energetic style creates an infectious atmosphere in the classroom. She is very selective with her workshops and strives to keep each student's painting experience varied and special within their own range of capabilities. This class is open to all levels of experience.
