Photographing birds in flight is like capturing poetry in motion that is being written across the sky! In this class you’ll learn a variety of techniques, from freezing the flight of birds to beautiful blurs of bird in flight. Learn the light that will make your images sing, and the settings on your camera that will help you capture what you visualize. We’ll also learn how to get use sports cameras to photograph inside nesting boxes, how to control cameras remotely, and how to make time lapse videos. We’ll look at how to apply some of these same techniques for other types of wildlife photography. We will learn different ways to understand and use light in bird and wildlife photography to capture high key and low key photos that make dramatic images. We will be doing a combination of in class work, in field photography, and free time photography. These activities will give you the foundation to understand skills, hands on instruction with the instructor, and time to apply what you learn at your own pace.
