Alan Lacer

Woodturning Fundamentals

Sept 3-8, 2017 (Four Teaching Days)

A deep dive into this fascinating form of woodworking. Alan will take you through the fundamentals of tool selection, sharpening, safety at the lathe and a number of exercises to acquaint you with turning. From there the class will begin making a variety of projects which will include weed pots, stick ink pens, spinning tops, bowls, and turned lidded boxes. Open to anyone with little or no experience—or those who have missed the basics.
