Lin Anne Luciano Fiore

Fine Art-Digitally Enhanced

May 29-June 3, 2016 (Four Teaching Days)

Drama –  what’s it all about? How do we achieve it in our work? Have you ever felt that your paintings, while pretty good, are lacking something? You understand how to render, you have a good composition, but there is something amiss. What is it? Could it be the all-important ingredient of light? As artists we are painting light; the way it falls on an object, drifts, and caresses the objects or figures. Painting is hard work. What if you could cut to the chase, get that all-important thing your piece lacks -right away, by simply using a computer. Lin Anne will show you how to add dramatic light on the computer screen to your scanned and uploaded piece. Then you will take your printed image and work on it all over again, at the easel, with the changes you see are possible. What fun, how challenging. Come take this exciting, path carving workshop. You will be painting at the easel, but with technology to help you. Most of the time you are at the workshop, you will be painting. Please bring 2-3 finished or almost finished pieces and one blank canvas. Bring a laptop if you have one.

“I love to paint. It all started the day my mother, also a painter, handed me Andrew Loomis’ Drawing the Figure for All it’s Worth. My Italian grandfather, Carmen Fiore, had given it to her, having recognized her ability. I dove into that book. I practiced, I drew, I simply submerged myself in his wonderful figures. As I grew older I began to greatly admire mystery in painting. Of course, the secrets of chiaroscuro became a passionate quest for me to uncover. At 18, I discovered Rembrandt.  At 19, I knew I had to paint as a Renaissance Master. Unstoppable, I sought out a teacher, and to my great delight I found The Art Students League of New York, and David Leffel. I was able to study under Internationally known Instructors there at The League, as it is affectionately called.”

Fiore, now an accomplished painter in the Dutch Master methods has National Exhibition experience, including acceptance into shows such as The Oil Painters of America, and the Salon International. Her representation in galleries extends from New York City, to Ohio, and Minnesota. She is a past board member of the American Artists Professional League, and conducted the AAPL’s Chapter Exhibitions in Connecticut, and acted as juror for their national shows.

Lin Anne Luciano Fiore conducts workshops Internationally, performs demos for art clubs, and holds semi-private classes in her home, in the rolling green hills of Ohio. She is very active online, teaching, and offering critiques. She is the single Mom to two great teenagers, each adopted Internationally, and holds the title of Mom, also, to two young ladies, who are her biological grown children, one of whom has blessed her with two grandchildren.
