Lin Anne Luciano Fiore

Old Master Still Life

May 21-26, 2016 (Four Teaching Days)

Instructor Lin Anne Luciano Fiore, well-liked by her students, is a seasoned international workshop teacher, who shares her knowledge of painting liberally,  in a fun and enthusiastic manner! Beginners through advanced will add skill and technique to their body of art knowledge. Fiore brings the student into the mysterious realm of the Dutch Masters, sharing special secrets of painting that only the Masters of the 15th Century understood.

She understands the needs of the new student to art, imparting general knowledge to help those in the early stages of understanding how to break down complicated concepts into basic shapes and ideas, while encouraging the advanced student to make leaps into the deep mysteries of chiaroscuro and atmosphere. Students will learn about everything from the initial concept, setting up, to laying out a palette, and working on blocking in umbers, to adding the second and third painting layer. The mystery of chiaroscuro, atmosphere, and the all-important soft and hard edges concepts will be made to easy to grasp.

“I love to paint. It all started the day my mother, also a painter, handed me Andrew Loomis’ Drawing the Figure for All it’s Worth. My Italian grandfather, Carmen Fiore, had given it to her, having recognized her ability. I dove into that book. I practiced, I drew, I simply submerged myself in his wonderful figures. As I grew older I began to greatly admire mystery in painting. Of course, the secrets of chiaroscuro became a passionate quest for me to uncover. At 18, I discovered Rembrandt.  At 19, I knew I had to paint as a Renaissance Master. Unstoppable, I sought out a teacher, and to my great delight I found The Art Students League of New York, and David Leffel. I was able to study under Internationally known Instructors there at The League, as it is affectionately called.”

Fiore, now an accomplished painter in the Dutch Master methods has National Exhibition experience, including acceptance into shows such as The Oil Painters of America, and the Salon International. Her representation in galleries extends from New York City, to Ohio, and Minnesota. She is a past board member of the American Artists Professional League, and conducted the AAPL’s Chapter Exhibitions in Connecticut, and acted as juror for their national shows.

Lin Anne Luciano Fiore conducts workshops Internationally, performs demos for art clubs, and holds semi-private classes in her home, in the rolling green hills of Ohio. She is very active online, teaching, and offering critiques. She is the single Mom to two great teenagers, each adopted Internationally, and holds the title of Mom, also, to two young ladies, who are her biological grown children, one of whom has blessed her with two grandchildren.
